Pumps draw water from the bottom drain, the skimmers and the balance tank and send it through the filter. Clean water returns two ways: straight into the pond, and from beneath REGENA, where it rises through gravel and roots before flowing back into the pond. Tap the numbers to explore the system.

What people ask us.
01What is an ecological pond?
A water system that stays clean without chlorine or chemicals, using plants, mineral fill and microorganisms. Water passes through a planted REGENA zone, is purified and returns to the pond clear.
02Does it work in Erbil’s summer heat?
Yes, but heat has to be part of the design from the start. Enough depth, shading, a correctly sized REGENA zone and constant circulation are all designed with this in mind. Where needed, UV and mechanical filtration are added as support.
03Will there be mosquitoes?
Mosquitoes like still water. In a balanced pond whose water keeps moving, larvae cannot settle, and the life in the water creates a natural balance.
04Can you swim with koi in the same pond?
Yes. A pond can be designed for swimming together with koi. Fish numbers, depth, filtration capacity and the size of the REGENA zone are calculated for it, and the system balances the extra load the fish bring. You can share the same water with your koi.
05Is it hard to maintain?
There is no chemical control. Care means seasonal pruning of plants, cleaning the surface and floor, and checking the pump and filter. You receive a care plan at handover, and we can take care of it for you.
06Can my existing pool be converted to an ecological system?
In most cases, yes. We inspect the pool’s structure, depth and whether there is room for a REGENA zone on site, then prepare the conversion project.
07How long does construction take?
It depends on scale and ground. A garden pond can be finished in a few weeks; large projects take months. The exact schedule follows the survey and design.
08How is the price determined?
Area, depth, system type, mechanical equipment and the scope of landscape work set the price. After the survey we prepare a transparent, itemised quote.
